I haven’t had the chance to play with the I Heart Faces group in a while, so I thought I’d give it a shot today. I had a few minutes (literally spent about 10 minutes) to play and this is what I came up with.
Here is the original photo

I took the original above and did a quick color correction. After the color correction, I ran the ContraSoft action from EZ Actions on the photo. This allowed me to soften the skin a bit and then use the paint with light functionality to darken the background a touch. I also wanted to give the photo a very slight touch of an antique feel, so I ran the ContraSoft version with the Rustic Charm action. I then merged the 2 versions together placing the Rustic Charm version on top of the ContraSoft version and decreased the opacity to 45%. This was the result:

Finally, I took the photo above and ran a black and white conversion on it. I used the Pro Sepia action and called it quits… Here is the result showing the Sepia version:
